Health and Safety
The welfare of all working people is paramount for any business, as healthy, happy staff are more productive. This course examines health and safety in practice, looks at welfare needs, common health and safety risks in the workplace and the importance of proper training. "Health and Safety" looks at the law and the legal requirements for dealing with health and safety issues in the workplace. The course covers performing risk assessments and establishing effective control measures.
Participants will acquire the knowledge and skills to:
- Provide basic Health and Safety information for both employers and employees
- Inspire the confidence to conduct risk assessments, deal with basic welfare and health matters and understand common health and safety risks
- Be able to conduct basic risk assessments and understand the legal requirements surrounding health and safety at work
- Appreciate the need for, and the benefits of employee welfare regulations including safety committees and safety representatives
