Avoiding Bribery Risks for Business

Overview

Written specifically for business, this learning pathway, consisting of four short activities, ensures that you understand what constitutes as bribery under the Bribery Act 2010 and how to avoid the associated risks.

The pathway starts with an overview of what bribery is, how to prevent it and how to report it if you suspect an act of bribery has taken place. It goes on to examine what you can offer in terms of gifts and hospitality, with practical scenarios to help you apply this. It then moves to exploring three special bribery problems, specifically regarding public officials, grease payments and third parties, concluding with a brief look at what you can safely receive.
