Introduction to Ergonomics (OSHA)
With its roots in World War Two, Ergonomics has developed from redesigning aircraft cockpit controls to a scientific tuning of our work practices and environments to match our physical capabilities and limitations.In this module, well look at the causes and symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders and describe how good ergonomic practices can protect muscles, spinal discs, ligaments, nerves and tendons.Different occupations use different muscle groups, so it is important to identify an ergonomic solution that fits you. Applying good ergonomic principles can improve comfort and morale; and therefore productivity in the workplace.
